Jonathan is one of the original authors of Scheme48. He also helped create a dialect of Scheme called T. Also he was one of the editors of r5rs. His PhD thesis was A Security Kernel Based on the Lambda-Calculus which applies ideas from the lambda calculus-based programming language design to the design of secure operating systems.
